BRiP 2011

4-5 November, 2011

at Outreach, Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur

The Consortia of seven IITs, on which the responsibility of preparation of Ganga River Basin Environment Management Plan (GRBEMP) lies, is organizing a two day national conference at IIT Kanpur on 4-5 November, to foster coordination amongst various stakeholders, bring together experts of national repute and students to share their knowledge, experience and innovative ideas on the subject.

The major objective of the conference is to attract young, dynamic and enthusiastic students in order to develop 'GEN-NEXT' human resources for River Basin Planning. The two day conference is expected to provide the students a proper platform to come with innovative ideas and thereby debate/discuss various pertinent issues towards streamlining the approach of river basin planning

Out of the participants of the conference, later Gangapedia ambassadors will be chosen who will form a  part of Gangapedia as well as the Ganga action plan team in some matters. Their selection as GP ambassadors will depend on their active role on GP like getting people involved on the GP platform. To begin with you can 'Recommend Gangapedia' and 'Send invite' to your friends and collegaues who may be interested to join the GP family.
